How to Enjoy Your Favorite Comfort Foods Without the Discomfort

Imagine the following scenario.

About an hour ago, you had the pleasure of enjoying one of your all-time favorite comfort foods–your mom’s homemade mac ‘n’ cheese.

It was absolutely incredible as usual and highly satisfying.

So what is the problem?

Let’s just say you are now experiencing that meal a second time . . . and this time it’s not so pleasant.

  • You are experiencing abdominal pain & burning
  • You’re bloated
  • You can’t stop passing gas
  • You even have some acid reflux

I’m so happy to have found a natural way to enjoy your favorite comfort foods without the discomfort.

Indigestion is a growing problem

15 million Americans are suffering from symptoms such as these on a daily basis. Surprisingly, the majority of those suffering are now between the ages of 25 and 44. This is believed to be due to busy lifestyles, stress, eating on the go, and frequently changing diets.

The problem with conventional antacids

Walk into the antacids section of any pharmacy and you are bound to be bombarded with an array of promising solutions.

Maalox . . Tums . . Mylanta . . Rolaids and more.

While these more conventional methods are considered safe for most people when taken on occasion, many chronic sufferers tend to get into the habit of popping them after every meal. This kind of usage can lead to unhealthy side effects such as constipation, diarrhea and even kidney stones due to a build up of calcium.

A Whole 30 stuffed peppers recipe

One of my personal favorite comfort foods is stuffed peppers. Both my mother and my grandmother used to make it, and it has the added benefit of being relatively healthy.

My only issue with this dish is that bell peppers tend to give me indigestion. Add to that the face that all the tomato ingredients are very acidic, and this can be a challenging dish to swallow. Having access to the Acidil made me feel more confident about taking this dish on.

Because I have decided to do a diet reset using the popular Whole 30 plan this month, I decided to try a dairy-free/grain-free/sugar-free version of this comfort dish, as follows:

I did make a few minor tweaks to this recipe.

  1. I replaced the carrots with mushrooms
  2. I used pasta sauce in place of tomato sauce
  3. I substituted ground beef for the ground turkey
  4. I opted for coconut oil over the olive oil
Thanks to Boiron’s homeopathic remedy for indigestion, I can finally eat my stuffed peppers in comfort!

My experience with using Acidil afterwards

I loved this dish almost as much as the real thing. The only part I missed a bit was the cheese. I’m wondering if maybe there is a dairy-free alternative out there that might come close. As expected though, my body was not as fond of this dish as my tastebuds.

After popping a few rounds of Acidil under my tongue, however; things started to get back to normal fairly quickly. The burning achiness ceased and all was well again with the world.

I found a way to enjoy your favorite comfort foods without the discomfort.

Other Boiron homeopathic medications

I also had an opportunity to try out the Boiron Gasalia medication and experienced similar successful results. Other Boiron homeopathic offerings include solutions for the common cold, seasonal allergies, sleep aids, stress/pain relief and more!
